His film debut was a small part in Saturday Night Fever. He followed up with a role in the Oscar-winning film Grease. In 1980 he went to star in the box-office hit Saturday Night Fever, which cemented his stardom.
Over the next few years he would get roles in a number of hits such as The Cannonball Run, Saturday Night Fever 2: Deliver Us from Evil, Look Who's Talking Now, Face/Off, Pulp Fiction, Get Shorty, Swordfish II: The Sequel and Kiss of Death. He is also known for his role as mobster Tony Montana in the critically acclaimed gangster movie Scarface.
